VANTA DOCUMENTATION

Whitelists

Learn how to create and manage access rules for teams, vehicles, and liveries on a connected ER:LC server.

What a whitelist does

A whitelist links an ER:LC resource to the access your community has configured. Supported rules can cover teams, vehicles, or a specific vehicle and livery combination.

How to create a whitelist

1

Open Whitelists

Open Whitelists from the dashboard. You need the relevant dashboard permission to create or change whitelist rules.

2

Choose what you want to restrict

Select the rule type you need. Use a team rule for a team, a vehicle rule for a vehicle, or a vehicle and livery rule when the restriction needs to match both.

3

Choose the live resource

Where ER:LC data is available, choose the team, vehicle, or livery from the resources Vanta has received from the connected server.

4

Set who can use it

Configure the Discord role or other supported community access required by the rule.

5

Save and test

Save the rule, then test it with a normal member account and an authorised account where possible.

How enforcement works

Vanta's whitelist enforcement worker checks supported rules against live ER:LC information. The bot must be online, the server data must be available, and the rule must be configured correctly. Vanta can record supported violations and send a configured Discord alert.

If a whitelist is not working

1

Check the ER:LC connection

Make sure the dashboard is receiving live server information.

2

Check the member's access

Confirm the member has the Discord role required by the whitelist and that Vanta can see that role.

3

Check the selected resource

Make sure the rule matches the actual team, vehicle, or livery being used on the ER:LC server.

4

Check the bot

Whitelist enforcement depends on the Vanta bot being online and able to read the connected server data.
