Logs

Use Vanta logs as an operational record of supported actions and events, and configure Discord delivery so staff can review them where they work.

Understand the logs

Depending on enabled features, logs can include staff activity, moderation events, applications, server events, Discord actions, and other supported records.

Configure Discord delivery

Choose the log type

Open the logging configuration and choose the supported event types your community wants delivered.

Choose the destination

Select the Discord channel where the log should be delivered and confirm Vanta can view and send messages there.

Test delivery

Trigger a safe test event and confirm the expected Discord log appears in the configured channel.

Investigating an issue

Start with the approximate time, the affected user or server, and the action being performed. Compare Vanta's record with the relevant Discord or ER:LC information.
